TENESSY Recommended Formulations for Different Strength Grades of Tile Adhesive

Tiles wall with cement mortar for tiles work

TENESSY fayans yapıştırıcısı formulations are based on P.O 42.5 Ordinary Portland Cement as the core binder, combined with graded quartz sand and TENESSY proprietary polymer additive systems. Strictly aligned with industry standards, the formulations cover the four mainstream strength grades: C1, C1T, C2, and C2T.

These formulations balance bond strength, workability, anti-slip performance, and cost efficiency, and can be directly applied to industrial production and engineering projects.

All formulas below are expressed in kg per ton (1 ton of dry-mix tile adhesive) and are suitable for indoor and outdoor applications, various tile sizes, and different working conditions.

I. Core Raw Materials and Their Functions (TENESSY System)

1. P.O 42.5 Ordinary Portland Cement

The primary cementitious material providing initial and final bonding strength. Dosage controls the balance between rigidity and flexibility.

2. Graded Quartz Sand (40–70 mesh + 70–120 mesh)

Forms the mortar skeleton, improves compactness, reduces shrinkage, and optimizes workability and mechanical interlocking through proper coarse-fine grading.

3. TENESSY Redispersible Polymer Powder (RDP)

The key enhancement component. Improves tensile bond strength, flexibility, water resistance, and anti-slip performance. The main differentiating factor between strength grades.

4. TENESSY HPMC (100,000–200,000 mPa·s)

Provides water retention and thickening. Extends open time and prevents cracking or hollowing caused by rapid water loss.

5. TENESSY Hydroxypropyl Starch Ether

Improves smooth application, enhances thixotropy and sag resistance. Essential for “T” (anti-slip) grade products.

6. Calcium Formate (Early Strength Agent)

Accelerates cement hydration, improves early strength, shortens setting time. Suitable for low-temperature construction and fast installation.

7. Thixotropic Lubricant

Optimizes anti-slip performance, enhances wall application stability, and prevents large tiles from sliding.
