Hydroxypropyl starch ether (HPS) is a white fine powder obtained from plants through modification, highly etherification reaction and then spray drying. It does not contain plasticizers.
HPS can be used as an admixture for cement-based products, gypsum-based products and lime-lime products, and has good compatibility with other building admixtures. HPS can be used in combination with hydroxypropyl methyl cellulose ether to thicken, promote internal structure, have good crack resistance and improve workability.The amount of HPMC added can be reduced by adding modified starch ether.
