1. The role of TENESSY® HPMC in self-leveling mortar
1.1 Thickening and water retention
HPMC can significantly improve the viscosity and consistency of self-leveling mortar, so that it has better fluidity and workability. At the same time, HPMC can also absorb the water in the mortar, reduce the evaporation rate of water, and maintain the humidity and stability of the mortar.
1.2 Prevent cracking
Due to the fast hardening speed of self-leveling mortar, it is easy to produce problems such as shrinkage and cracking, etc. The addition of HPMC can play a flexible and crack-resistant, effectively preventing the mortar from cracking and shrinkage.
1.3 Improve the hardening speed and strength
HPMC can promote the hydration reaction of cement, accelerate the hardening speed of mortar and shorten the construction period. At the same time, HPMC can also have chemical reaction with the hydration products of cement to form gel-like structure and improve the compressive strength and flexural strength of mortar.
